A：Yesterday was April the first.

昨天是4月l號。

B：Was it quite special?

有什么特別之處嗎?

A：Not for the others, but for me. I was in the library going over my lessons when suddenly one of my roommates came in. He told me that I was wanted on the phone in my dormitory, and that person would call me again several minutes later.

對別人沒有，而對我就有。我正在圖書館復習功課，突然我的一位室友進來告訴我說有人打電話到宿舍找我，還說那人過幾分鐘會再打電話來。

B：Did you hurry back to the bedroom?

你是不是趕緊回了宿舍?

A：Yes. I went back to the dorm only to find my roommates laughing and shouting "April Fool, April Fool".

是啊。我一走進宿舍樓就發(fā)現(xiàn)我的室友們在笑，還大聲叫道“四月傻瓜，四月傻瓜!”

B：Oh, your classmates took you in.

哦，你的同學把你給捉弄了吧。

A：Only then did I realize it was April Fools' Day.

我這才明白原來是愚人節(jié)。
