All generalities aside, sales professionals hate having to do paperwork. Doing paperwork or process related tasks take them out of the field, away from customers and prospects and don't help to advance any sales cycles. In short, having to do paperwork is a miserable task for sales reps.

撇開(kāi)所有的泛泛而談,營(yíng)銷專員們都非常厭惡處理文書(shū)工作。因?yàn)樘幚砦臅?shū)工作和處理相關(guān)的任務(wù)會(huì)把他們帶離所在的工作領(lǐng)域,遠(yuǎn)離現(xiàn)有與潛在的客戶并且對(duì)他們個(gè)人晉升毫無(wú)幫助。簡(jiǎn)而言之,處理文書(shū)工作對(duì)于推銷員來(lái)說(shuō)是一件及其痛苦的事情。

Is it necessary? Sure. Many sales companies (most) require that their sales force not only close business but get whatever required paperwork signed by their customers.

有這個(gè)必要嗎?當(dāng)然。許多營(yíng)銷公司(常常)需要他們的銷售團(tuán)隊(duì)既能做成生意還能簽好訂單。

Meaning, in most cases, that the burden of handling and processing paperwork falls squarely on the shoulders of the sales professionals.

也就是,在很多情況下,應(yīng)對(duì)和處理文書(shū)工作的重?fù)?dān)正正落在了營(yíng)銷專員的肩膀上了。

But that fact doesn't make doing paperwork any easier.

但事實(shí)上完成這些文書(shū)工作并沒(méi)那么容易。

Set Aside Time

The biggest hassle about doing paperwork is the time it takes. While some companies have streamlined their paperwork and the processes that go along with the paperwork, many still have a process that takes way too much time, effort and creates entirely too many headaches. But it still needs to be done.

處理文書(shū)工作的最大麻煩就是花費(fèi)非常多的時(shí)間。雖然有些公司已經(jīng)把文書(shū)處理的過(guò)程流程化了,但仍有花費(fèi)太多時(shí)間,精力,讓人頭疼不已的流程。但你還得完成它。

If you have a good time management system in place, you probably have carved out time for all the more "sales related" tasks that you do.

如果你能合理地安排時(shí)間,那么你就能騰出點(diǎn)時(shí)間去處理“營(yíng)銷相關(guān)”的任務(wù)了。

Prospecting, following up with customers, getting referrals, dealing with upset customers and improving your sales skills already have time allotted in your daily or weekly schedule. Why not build in an hour or two to work on paperwork and other sales process related tasks?

尋找潛在客戶,跟進(jìn)顧客的情況,獲取下線,處理顧客的投訴,提高個(gè)人的營(yíng)銷技能早已設(shè)置為個(gè)人的每天或每周待辦事項(xiàng)了。何不騰出其中的1到2小時(shí)處理文書(shū)工作、其他時(shí)間處理相關(guān)的任務(wù)呢?

Doing so will take the urgency out of the tasks and help ensure that you have the time you need to get all your paperwork completed, turned in and processed.

這樣做的話能把最緊急的任務(wù)先完成了并且確保你能把文書(shū)工作完成,縮小任務(wù)并處理好。

Haste Makes Waste

Knowing that doing paperwork is a least favorite task of sales people, many either put it off till the last minute or rush through the process just to be done with it. And what happens when things are rushed? Mistakes are made.

了解完成文書(shū)工作對(duì)于營(yíng)銷人員來(lái)說(shuō)是最不想碰到的工作了,許多人要么把它推遲到最后期限的時(shí)候才完成,要么就草草了事。那么會(huì)發(fā)生什么事情?忙中就會(huì)出錯(cuò)了。

This is all about attitude. If you can't get yourself to the point where you actually enjoy doing paperwork, strive to at least see the time spent doing it as useful, needed and important. After all, if you don't do your paperwork or do it poorly, you probably won't hit your quota and your commission check will remind you of your miss.

這跟態(tài)度有關(guān)。如果你不能讓自己享受完成文書(shū)工作的過(guò)程,那至少也追求把時(shí)間花到點(diǎn)子上。畢竟,如果你不完成你的文書(shū)工作或者做得很差,你很有可能無(wú)法達(dá)到完成的數(shù)量,并且審核委員會(huì)還會(huì)提醒你你的工作錯(cuò)漏。

The Fortunate Few

少數(shù)的幸運(yùn)兒

If you believe that sales professionals should never have to do their own paperwork and should never be asked to handle process-related tasks, then you either are delusional or are working for the wrong company.

如果你認(rèn)為銷售專員永遠(yuǎn)都不應(yīng)該自己處理文書(shū)工作,或永遠(yuǎn)都不應(yīng)該被叫去處理流程相關(guān)的任務(wù),要么你癡心妄想,要么進(jìn)錯(cuò)公司了。

Believe it or not, there are plenty of sales reps who have quit their jobs solely because they were expected to deal with paperwork.

無(wú)論你信不信,許多銷售人員辭職僅僅是因?yàn)楸唤腥ヌ幚砦臅?shū)工作了。

If you believe firmly that you are in sales and that no sales professionals should ever have to worry about paperwork, you may want to find a sales company that doesn't demand any process work from their sales team.

如果你認(rèn)為你個(gè)人身在銷售行業(yè),并且任何的銷售專員都不應(yīng)該有處理文書(shū)工作之憂,那么你會(huì)發(fā)現(xiàn)這家營(yíng)銷公司并不需要處理任何的流程任務(wù)。

If you find one in your industry and are able to secure a position, know that you are among the fortunate few as most sales companies are putting more responsibilities on their sales team instead of taking tasks away.

如果你發(fā)現(xiàn)同行中有人能穩(wěn)保職位,你就會(huì)了解這些只是少數(shù)的幸運(yùn)兒,因?yàn)榇蠖鄶?shù)營(yíng)銷公司都賦予更多的任務(wù)而不是減輕工作量。

Paperwork may just be part of the job!
