雅思口語(yǔ)“人物描述”應(yīng)答策略

雅思口語(yǔ)考試的第二部分中，考生被主要考察的是對(duì)于具體的事物、人物、事件等的具體描述能力。第二部分歷時(shí)3~4分鐘，其中包括考生開始描述前，可以有1分鐘的時(shí)間來(lái)準(zhǔn)備有關(guān)的描述內(nèi)容，并使用考場(chǎng)提供的紙和筆，準(zhǔn)備相關(guān)的筆記內(nèi)容。一般情況下，考生需要就考官所提供的卡片上的問(wèn)題進(jìn)行2~3分鐘的描述?？ㄆe例如下：

Describe a Family Member

Describe a family member that you are very close to.

Your should say:

Who this person is.

What this person is like.

How you are like and unlike this person.

And explain why you are close to this person.

在第二部分的描述中，對(duì)人物的描述是考試的主流話題之一。人物描述出現(xiàn)的概率相當(dāng)高，幾乎在每個(gè)月的考試?yán)锩娑寄苡龅?。一般?lái)講，人物描述的體現(xiàn)方式有以下幾種：

a famous person / a child / an old person / a favorite 點(diǎn)擊發(fā)音 teacher / a close family member / a close friend

在今年的雅思口語(yǔ)考試中，又出現(xiàn)了一些新的表現(xiàn)方式，如：an interesting person / a happiest person 等。不論怎么樣的表現(xiàn)形式，對(duì)于考生來(lái)說(shuō)，只要掌握方法，都能逐一破解。有的考生可能會(huì)提出疑問(wèn)，如果只是回答卡片上的幾個(gè)問(wèn)題，似乎很難達(dá)到2分鐘的時(shí)間長(zhǎng)度。那么，卡片上沒(méi)有沒(méi)到的方面，我可以進(jìn)行描述嗎？回答是肯定的。但是前提是，這些雖然不是卡片問(wèn)題的內(nèi)容，但也必須是和該卡片主體息息相關(guān)的信息。

對(duì)于該人物的描述，考生需要注意以下幾個(gè)方面：

1、對(duì)卡片上的問(wèn)題進(jìn)行回答。

以上卡片包含著4個(gè)問(wèn)題，在筆記過(guò)程中應(yīng)當(dāng)以詞語(yǔ)為基礎(chǔ)來(lái)進(jìn)行分解：

Who this person is. (人物，e.g. my mother)

What this person is like. (描述性詞語(yǔ)，e.g. looks, personality, hobbies)

How you are like and unlike this person. (比較和對(duì)比，similarities 點(diǎn)擊發(fā)音 – looks & hobbies; differences -- personality)

Why you are close to this person. (該家庭成員對(duì)自己的影響.)

2、對(duì)卡片上沒(méi)有提到信息進(jìn)行描述。

在準(zhǔn)備的1分鐘里面，考生可以將一些問(wèn)題的答案關(guān)鍵詞的形式紀(jì)錄在紙張上，即以上括號(hào)里面的一些內(nèi)容，以起到提醒的作用。然后結(jié)合自己的情況進(jìn)行相關(guān)的描述。

Sample Answer (with key words underlined):

The person I am very close to in my family is my mother. My mother is medium 點(diǎn)擊發(fā)音 height who always wears a friendly smile on her face. Blue is her favorite color as she thinks it symbols 點(diǎn)擊發(fā)音 peace and emotion. I think is has a lot to do with her personality. As a music teacher, she is always very patient and kind to her students. There are quite a few similarities between us. People all say that I look like my mother more than my father. We both like listening to the music and watching movies. On weekends, we often go shopping in the supermarkets or department stores. But we are also different in many ways. My mother is a good gardener. Our veranda 點(diǎn)擊發(fā)音 is lined with all her gardening masterpieces, such as chrysanthemum 點(diǎn)擊發(fā)音 and Chinese roses. I am not so patient in taking care of the plants. Besides, my mother can cook many delicious dishes, while I can’t at all. I have learned how to treat people and how to deal with problems on my own from her. She is the one I am close to as she really influences 點(diǎn)擊發(fā)音 me a lot.

有的考生在未結(jié)束描述前，可能被考官打斷（Sorry. I am gonna stop you there.）如果遇到這樣的情況，是因?yàn)榭脊傩枰莆蘸驼瓶乜荚嚨墓?jié)奏和時(shí)間，打斷并非是由于認(rèn)為考生講得不好，所以考生不必緊張，只需要根據(jù)考官的指令繼續(xù)考試即可。

鑒于雅思口語(yǔ)考試的特殊性，很多考試的卡片問(wèn)題是一般的考生在日常生活中很少接觸到的方面。所以對(duì)于備考雅思的考生，建議一定要在考前有針對(duì)性的進(jìn)行充分準(zhǔn)備，并適當(dāng)聯(lián)系筆記的技巧，加之有規(guī)律的練習(xí)，才能在第二部分中有比較滿意的表現(xiàn)。
