Smart Telecom (AIM:SMR) is an Irish telecom operator. It currently has an estimated 70,000 customers. They operate land-line services, including payphones and broadband internet.

They were a bidder for the Irish mobile operator Meteor following the decision of its parent company to sell all international mobile operators, however on 21 July it was announced Smart Telecom had withdrawn, leaving the company to be bought by eircom, the largest telecoms operater in Ireland, and owner of the local loop throughout the entire country.

On Novermber 18th 2005 Smart Mobile was offered the country's 4th 3G mobile phone network licence. Smart are expected expected to commercially launch their 3G network in July 2006.
